When was the last time + subject + verb (past tense) ?
= to talk about something that happened in the past

  • When was the last time we saw each other?
  • When was the last time you had a holiday?
  • When was the last time we went out for a drink?

Dialogue

A. My heart is racing.
B. When was the last time your heart felt that?
B. When was the last time you had a check up?
B. When was the last time you felt that way?
A. About a year ago.
B. Maybe you need a checkup.

= question to ask about the location of something

  • Where do you work?
  • Where do you get your hair done?
  • Where do you live?
  • Where do you cook?
  • Where do you go to school?

    → mug, cup, cafe, glass

Where did you + verb?
= question to ask where did you something in the past

과거에 상대가 어떠한 행동을 어디에서 했는지 물어보고 싶을 때쓸 수 있는 패턴
ex. 어디에서 ~하셨어요?

  • Where did you make rice?
  • Where did you pay the bus fee?
  • Where did you pay your rent?
  • Where did you buy your bag?
  • Where did you have someone buy your bag?
  • Where did you put the button?
  • Where did you drive to?
    → I drove my friends to the beach.

Where can I + verb?
= question to ask which place can you do things

Dialogue

A. Meet me downtown tonight.
B. All right. I'll meet you at the book store.
A. See you at 5:00
B. Where can I wait for you?

Where's the nearest + noun place?
= question about which is the nearest something

  • Where's the nearest restroom?
  • Where's the nearest hospital?
  • Where's the nearest vending machine?
  • Where's the nearest event?
